DESCRIPTION
Purpose built truck fully equipped with all the latest safety equipment, ensuring maximum levels of safety for road workers, motorists and the TMA driver. Automatic transmission and air conditioning fitted for great driver comfort. Truck GVM of 15 tonne which reduces the amount of “roll ahead” if the truck gets impacted from the rear. State of the art SCORPION attenuator fitted, which is capable of safely decelerating and stopping impacting vehicles (820-2000kg) and is suitable for use in speed zones up to 100KPH. The SCORPION attenuator can be folded up and over the tray when not in use, thus reducing the truck’s length which greatly improves maneuverability when driving to and from the work site. Fully compliant with all State and Territory Road Authority regulations. All TMA functions can be controlled from the safety of the cab via an ergonomic easy to reach switch panel. Rear facing LED Message board and Arrow board fitted to inform and direct traffic safely through the workzone. Four point harness driver seat belt fitted for added driver protection. Automatic impact braking system fitted which significantly reduces the distance the TMA rolls forward on impact, thus reducing the risk to workers and plant in front of the truck. Three video cameras fitted to aid reversing the truck and also to ensure clearance when lowering the SCORPION TMA. A 500GB hard drive records the vision from the 3 cameras in case of any incidents. 2 UHF radios
SUITABLE FOR
Shielding workers and plant on live roads. The trucks are fitted with a crash cushion which is used to protect the truck and the driver if an errant vehicle runs into the rear of the truck, and the truck in turn protects the workers and plant on the road.
